New hotels in Gifu City

The capital of Gifu Prefecture. The main tourist attractions are Gifu Castle, which towers atop Mount Kinka, and the cormorant fishing on the Nagara River (May–October). Gifu Castle, once the seat of Oda Nobunaga, is popular among fans of the Sengoku period. New hotels in Takayama City and the Okuhida Hot Spring Resort Area

A tourist city in northern Gifu Prefecture that is home to the historic streets of Hida Takayama (Sanchō, Shimo-Ninomachi, and Ōshinmachi) and the Okuhida Hot Spring Resort (Shinhotaka, Fukuchi, Hirayu, Tochio, and Shin-Hirayu). It is particularly popular among international tourists and offers a wealth of culinary delights, such as Hida beef, hoba miso, and mitarashi dango. With several ski resorts, including Hoono-ki-daira Ski Resort and Okuhida Ski Resort, the area is also a favorite among travelers looking to combine hot springs and skiing. It is accessible from Nagoya in about 2 hours and 30 minutes and from Matsumoto in about 2 hours via the JR Hida Limited Express.
